Chrysalidocarpus lutescens ( family : Arecaceae ) is native to Madagascar. It has multiple, bamboo-like, trunks. If grown in the sun, the leaf has a yellow petioles. Areca is known as an ornamental plant in tropical and subtropical regions, and elsewhere as indoor plants ( Areca is one of the most popular indoor plants but it is a cold sensitive plant ).
