Phoenix Roebelenii ( Pygme Date Palm )

Common name : Pygme Date Palm.

Phoenix roebelenii is a small or minature date palm, native to southeast Asia and southwestern China (Yunnan). It's can grow to about 3.0m or 10 feet in height. Fruit are small, about 1/2 inch  long, and range from dark purple to dark brown when fully ripe. This plant can be grown in full sun to shade and make wonderful planter palms for indoors or outdoors.

Musa Velutina (Pink Banana)

These small banana plants are typically used in the landscape for their ornamental appeal as M.velutina fruits are pink and fuzzy. However, more than an ornamental, the fruits are actually edible if you don't mind working around the seeds. They will peel themselves back when ripe as you can see in the above photo. If you catch them at the right time (you have only maybe a day or so to catch it when ripe, opened, and unspoiled), you'll notice the best flavor.

Codiaeum variegatum is native to southern Asia, Indonesia and Eastern Pacific islands. It is an evergreen shrub, which is a member of the family Euphorbiaceae. There are hundreds cultivars, with different foliage colors.

Garden Crotons will die if too long at temperatures below about 46ºF (7.8ºC). The best  temperatures vary between 60 and 85 degrees F. In tropical regions, Garden Crotons , which can grow up to 3 m tall- make attractive hedges and potted patio specimens.

Palm : Borassus flabellifer

This plant can live 100 years or more and reach a height of 30 m,. The large trunk resembles that of the coconut and is ringed with leaf scars. Young palmyra palms grow slowly in the beginning but then grow faster. Its growth pattern, large size, and clean habits make it an attractive landscape species.

A sugary sap, called Toddy, can be obtained from the young inflorescence, either male or female ones. Toddy is fermented to make a beverage called arrack, or it is concentrated to a crude sugar called jaggery. It is called Gula Jawa (Javanese sugar) in Indonesia and is widely used in Javanese cuisine. In addition, the tree sap is taken as a laxative, and medicinal values have been ascribed to other parts of the plant. (Wikipedia)
